It was a pleasure to stay at The Leveret - the property has been recently refurbished to an excellent standard and with a great attention to detail, as well as being a great host and being on hand to answer any questions Elspeth baked us the best chocolate cake I can remember in a long time (it is worth staying there for the cake alone!). The location is fantastic - the village has two pubs and a great Indian restaurant, a local shop and a coffee shop all within a few hundred yards. We were mainly here to play golf and played Gullane and North Berwick while we were here and had a great time at both, the courses and in particular the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of both clubs were stunning (and golf clubs do fit in the cupboard where the washing machine is if you want somewhere to store them while you are there!). I would recommend The Leveret to anyone looking to stay in this area, our only regret is not staying there longer!

We stayed here for a short break in July. The apartment is newly decorated with new kitchen, shower etc. There is a great attention to detail - seems a leveret is a young hare (no, I didn't know that either) and cushions etc. have hares on them. Aberlady is a super village with two pubs (both do food), and a well-stocked shop. There is also an Indian restaurant though we did not have time to try it.
